What to wear
Your Brutal tech-tee!
The arena, car parking and start/finish are all located in the corner of a large field. The single lap route leaves the start field and heads into the woods. The first kilometer is fairy flat and follows wide tracks to let the runners spread out a little. From 1km the course starts to become real fun with a series of short sharp climbs and switchbacks. Just before the 3km marker comes the first serious climb that will reduce most to a slow walk and very soon after that comes the first water hole, small but perfectly formed. The 5km marker is on top of one of the toughest climbs on the course. On the decent is the water station and water is the main feature of the next kilometer as the route crosses mixed areas of mud and water. The last 3km are dominated by a series of very tough climbs one after the other. When you think there can't be any more, the next steep climb comes into view. Not as muddy as the swamps of Bordon but Brutal10 running fans will get more than their fill of extreme 10km action.
Chip timing is provided by Emit UK
